Is the heating not getting warm anymore, and is the boiler showing an error code? Then you may need to refill the central heating boiler. To check if this is the case, look at the pressure gauge in the meter cupboard. If it has dropped below 1 bar, the boiler needs to be refilled. You can easily do this yourself. Energiewacht explains how to do it in a video.
How to refill the central heating system? Read the instructions:
You will need:
A towel
A bucket
Water pump pliers
A hose
Instructions:
Turn off the central heating and wait 15 minutes for it to cool down;
Disconnect the central heating;
Attach the hose to the water tap, open the water tap carefully and fill the hose with water;
Attach the hose to the fill valve (you will see a connection point with a red cap);
First open the water tap and then the fill valve;
Check the pressure and fill the central heating system to 1.5-2 bar;
When you are done, close the fill valve first and then the water tap.
After refilling the boiler, you need to bleed the radiators.
