Solving WiFi problems
You have an important Zoom meeting, but the connection keeps freezing, or you spend minutes trying to send and receive emails while on a tight deadline. Are you experiencing slow Wi-Fi speed or other Wi-Fi internet problems? Here are some tips to improve it.
- Check your settings and reset your router.
- Move your router to a place without interference sources. Examples of interference sources include refrigerators, microwaves, or thick walls.
- Increase your Wi-Fi speed by using a different channel.
- Choose a free channel, not the one your neighbors are using.
- Check the Wi-Fi standard of your equipment. Older devices, for example, have slower Wi-Fi speeds.
- Always set your router to WPA2.
- Adjust your channel width. Routers are often set to 20 MHz. You can change this by selecting 20/40 MHz in your router configuration.
